Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Ultrasound
Our primary mission as Circulation Specialists is to help you achieve the healthiest circulation possible for your stage in life.
Whatever your lifestyle, genetic predisposition or individual health aspirations – Your Circulation is your Lifeline.
This is an ultrasound scan of the main artery in the abdomen, the Aorta.
This detailed test looks for the presence of an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), which is a localized abnormal dilatation of the aorta within the abdomen and with abnormal flow dynamics within the vessel. The conditions puts the aorta at risk of a potentially fatal rupture.
This ultrasound is also done after an AAA repair to assess post-surgical progress and detect any complications.
Report will include
- Aorta and Common Iliac artery diameter measurements.
- Assessment for plaque, calcification and hemodynamic changes.
- AAA classification
- Assessment for renal artery involvement
