Renal Vascular Duplex Ultrasound
Our primary mission as Circulation Specialists is to help you achieve the healthiest circulation possible for your stage in life.
Whatever your lifestyle, genetic predisposition or individual health aspirations – Your Circulation is your Lifeline.
A detailed ultrasound scan that uses the Doppler technique to evaluate blood flow through the renal arteries which supply blood to the kidneys. Evaluation of the hemodynamic parameters of the Aorta, main renal arteries and intrarenal arteries allows for accurate diagnosis of renal artery stenosis.
In hypertensive subjects it offers an important contribution to the diagnosis of early renal damage, acute or chronic nephropathies and nephrovascular disease.
Following renal transplantation, ultrasound evaluation allows for assessment of renal function and presence of possible complications. This study also aims to rule intrinsic renal disease.
Report will include
- Renal morphology assessment
- Main renal artery calibre
- Diagnosis and grading of stenosis
- Identification of early renal damage
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of intrarenal arterial waveforms, including the renal resistive index
